These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Password Mantra mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Password Mantra for your personal use in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy or redistribute the App except where permitted by law.
• Reverse engineer or modify the App except where legally allowed.
• Use the App for unlawful purposes.

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your device secure.
• Protecting your PIN or passphrase.
• Protecting your biometric authentication.
• Maintaining encrypted backup files.
• Keeping your operating system updated.

Anyone who gains access to your unlocked device or authentication credentials may also gain access to your stored information.

3. Password & PIN Responsibility

You are solely responsible for remembering your PIN or passphrase.

For security reasons, Password Mantra cannot recover, reset, bypass, or decrypt your encrypted vault if your authentication credentials are forgotten.

4. Backup Responsibility

If the App provides encrypted backup functionality, you are responsible for creating and safely storing those backup files.

Loss of backup files may permanently prevent recovery of your information.

5. Data Loss Disclaimer

Password Mantra stores encrypted information locally on your device.

We are not responsible for data loss resulting from:

• Forgotten PIN or passphrase.
• Factory reset.
• Lost device.
• Stolen device.
• Broken device.
• Hardware failure.
• Storage corruption.
• Database corruption.
• Operating system failure.
• Operating system updates.
• Application removal.
• Accidental deletion.
• Malware or viruses.
• Third-party software conflicts.
• Failed import or export.
• Failed backup or restore.
• Rooted or jailbroken devices.
• Unauthorized access caused by user negligence.
• Any event outside our reasonable control.

6. No Warranty

Password Mantra is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose.
• Merchantability.
• Availability.
• Accuracy.
• Reliability.
• Compatibility.
• Continuous or error-free operation.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers, owners, publishers, and contributors of Password Mantra shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from:

• Loss of passwords.
• Loss of encrypted notes.
• Loss of sensitive information.
• Forgotten PIN or passphrase.
• Corrupted encrypted database.
• Lost backup files.
• Device malfunction.
• Security breaches caused by the user's actions.
• Business interruption.
• Financial loss.
• Loss of profits.
• Loss of opportunity.
• Any inability to use the App.

Your use of Password Mantra is entirely at your own risk.

8. Security Notice

Password Mantra uses modern encryption to help protect your information. However, no application or encryption system can guarantee absolute security. Users should always use strong authentication credentials and maintain physical security of their devices.

9. Updates

We may release updates, improvements, bug fixes, or security patches at any time. Installing updates is recommended to maintain security and compatibility.

10. Intellectual Property

Password Mantra, including its name, logo, design, source code (unless otherwise licensed), graphics, and documentation, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

11. Third-Party Components

The App may include open-source software or third-party libraries. Those components remain subject to their respective licenses.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. These Terms remain applicable to any obligations or limitations that continue by their nature after termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in your jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory local consumer protection laws.
